hello! my name is
craig wood.
i make
ceramic objects,
mostly
tiles
and some other things.

i am forty-seven
years old and live in the
united states
of america.
i
now
weigh 168 pounds (ah-oh) and am 5’ 10” tall. my eyes are
brown and
my hair is brown flecked with gray,
currently cut short with longish sideburns (but not chops).
i grew up in
florida but now live in oklahoma and
new york.
racially i am white. orientation wise i am
gay and madly in love with
my partner mr.b, who is about to get his twenty year pin. i grew up southern baptist, but now i’m
kind of an agnostic;
not religious,
but i am attracted to buddhist
philosophy.

donovan, bowie, dylan,
rufus wainwright. i don't like
shopping.
i am generally speaking a very happy person.
i have a huge crush on
jake gyllenhaal. and, yes, on paul rudd.
oh, i’m
also a diabetic
and i don't have prostate cancer :).
i
love spam and
chocolate and . . . well . .

you missed it :( my work
stigmata was recently on display as part of the "ink and clay 35" exhibition at california
state polytechnic university. the exhibition ended on may 2nd.
"ink and
clay 35" is an annual competition, established in 1971, of prints and
drawings, ceramic ware and clay sculpture sponsored by the
w. keith and
janet kellogg university art gallery of california state polytechnic
university, pomona.

time is now: the ceramic art of craig wood", my first solo show at
waam
will be november 21, 2009 through january 3, 2010, with the opening
reception on saturday november 21st from 4-6 pm. gallery talk the
following afternoon at 2 pm.

selected works are to be included in the exhibit, "uk/ok:
exploring traditions in contemporary design", to be held August 7,
2009 through January 3, 2010 at price tower arts center, bartlesville, ok.
uk/ok will examine contemporary british and oklahoman designers through the
lens of "traditions" - in technique, materials, and motives, with an
emphasis on contemporary design and "high craft."
